#6 Those are all goats!

Next ARIZONA
First can I say, I love my mission president and his wife sooooo much holy cow.  We had to wake up at two in the morning in Mexico for our flight to Arizona.  When we got there he told us he had a special surprise for us.  I was thinking we were going to teach a lesson or something, which I was terrified because I stilled smelled like Mexico and my eyes WOULD NOT STAY OPEN.  Want to know what the suprise was?  A nap.  FOR REALS. I love them so much.  We went through a lot of trainer and then on Thursday they sent us out.

My trainer is Hermana Andelin.  I love her!  You don't even understand, I have been prayer for my trainer everyday.  God answers prayers for sure.  She is hands down The best missionary.  She talks to every single person we pass, we never have a moment to sit, and we improve every day.  President Toone asked me what my vision for my mission was.  I told him that I wanted to get to the point where I would understand how important the gospel is, so that I wouldn't hesitate sharing it with everyone.  That is the kind of missionary Hermana Andelin is, she is my missionary hero.

I am serving in the area of Southern Phoenix.  Thank goodness because it is sooooo Hispanic.  We assume some speaks Spanish before English and we are right more often than not.  Hopefully I get this language down fast.  It is also the ghetto and a little sketch, but every single person we have met has been so kind to us.  The coolest thing is being able to see everyone through God's eyes.  I had no idea how powerful asking for this gift would be.  We have to talked to so many people I would other wise be hesitant to speak to, but now I have no fear!  They have always shared with us that they really needed to hear whatever message we shared with them.  Apparently those that come to this area are here for like 9 months haha, which I real,y hope so because we cover two wards so there are a lot of work to be done.

GUESS WHAT, my first day I committed someone to a baptismal date!  Edmond is 17 and lives with his aunt. The rest of his family lives in Mexico still.  He is an awesome kid, and we were about to leave and I just had a feeling that I needed to ask him if he would be baptized and he said YES!  Then I was like "so what are you doing November 14th".   He said nothing, do I said let's prepare you to be baptized by then.  HE SAID YES.  I was so excited you don't even know.  Los milagros de dios son muy maravillosos.

As for Spanish, I have no idea what is going on I just shake my head and smile.  The I get laughed at. Then I laugh.  GAH GIFT OF TONGUES HURRY FASTER.

Awkward

A woman was telling us how she was the only member in her family, instead of saying "Es muy difícil." I salud "es my divertido."  She Disney like that to much.  Also member's that we ate at the other, randomly had 100 goats.  75 chickens, 5 dogs 2 horses, a million pigeons, and snakes.  Let's just say the dogs need to bridle their passions.   Also found myself stuck in a bible bash yesterday.  Haha he said didn't like our church because he believes God and Jesus are one person and that God sent himself here.  So I said so you believe that when Jesus prayed he was praying to himself?  His response was duh.  Hah we shared our testimonies with him and invited him to read The Book of Mormon.  He didn't like that very much.
